Founded in 1947 and widely known as the largest arts festival in the world, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival is a three-week celebration of the arts that turns the city of Edinburgh into a platform for performers. With performance venues throughout the city and hundreds of performances to choose from, the Fringe is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for a young performer. In August 2026, Purple Summer Theatre will take a 12-person cast to the Fringe to perform Rick Abbott’s comedy, “Play On!”
